The Faith Explained
Fr. Leo J. Trese

Third Edition. Following the Baltimore Catechism No. 3, Fr. Trese explains the Faith, clarifies it, and applies it to modern day situations. Is it a bit cloudy and mysterious in our minds what Heaven will be? Or why we are here and have to suffer?

The first chapter in this book covers all this and more in a clear, logical, and life-changing way. "God cannot fulfill something that does not even exist. If there is no beginning of love for God in our hearts here upon earth, then there can be no fruition of love in eternity . . . Love for God does not mean that our heart must turn handsprings when we think of Him...It is not in how we feel toward God, but in what we are willing to do for God that our love for Him proves itself."

A great book for adults to read in bite-size pieces and for highschool students' religion course. Highly recommended in CHC Lesson Plans to give parents the background necessary to teach catechism lessons naturally. 479 pages. Softcover.

“The Faith Explained is the best book on the faith that I have ever read. It is so clear and compelling, explaining the faith in a way that brings out the tremendous beauty of our beloved Catholic faith and makes it understandable and teachable. Thank you so much, Father Leo Trese and CHC!”

“CHC's curriculum came to the rescue after a half a year of using hand me down state materials to save money. It did save money but not my sanity! My son is in 1st grade and HIGH energy. After ordering the entire first grade curriculum (after being too frustrated to continue like I was-I got pretty upset one day) my days are so much easier! My son just learned how to read last week! I am so thankful for CHC and will probably buy all three grade levels for next year!”
