“Today I got the results back from a CAT 5 test I gave to my 3rd grader, who is using CHC Lesson Plans for 3rd Grade. She scored in the 93 percentile for social studies (grade level 8). We have been really enjoying traveling around the world, visiting various countries. Little did I know she was absorbing a lot more than I thought. She also scored well in language expression (82 percent), reading comprehension (88 percent), spelling (73) and science (78). Just wanted to thank you, your gentle approach makes my child 'want to learn.'”

“We have been using your lesson plans for two years now - kindergarten and 1st grade. I have older children and dabbled in designing my own lesson plans and curriculum for a few years. I can tell you that your lesson plans take all the stress out of planning for me. Even if I don't have time to plan any extras, I can just open the planner on Monday and start right in with the day's assignments. If we do want to do something a little different, we just note it in the planner and everything gets recorded all together.
Some days my son whizzes ahead with his work and others he goes at the gentle pace set forth in the lesson plan. Always we benefit from the tips and inspiration included in each weekly plan. The planner also helps us keep our focus on our Catholic faith, with reminders and enrichment activities such as "church manners" and Marian, Christ and saint coloring pages. The guides are full of helpful information I refer back to throughout the year, especially when one of us hits the doldrums. The weekly activity suggestions are often helpful in adding variety to our schedule. We enjoy using the chore chart and character building cards. He will frequently pop out a memory gem weeks after he worked on memorizing it. He's not big on coloring pages but does enjoy the cut and paste activities.
I like that the planner and guide are loose, rather than bound in a book format, that way I can either put the pages in a big binder, or split them up into smaller, more portable sections. When we are on the road, the planner is easy to pack and keep us on track.
I particularly appreciate that the lesson plans are separated into core and non-core studies. If my son is struggling with a reading or math concept, I am perfectly comfortable in letting the social studies or handwriting, or other non-core subject slide in favor of spending a little extra time on the challenging core subject.
Thank you so much for taking the stress and anxiety out of lesson planning and prioritizing. School is actually fun!

“We're so excited about our 3rd year with all CHC materials! My family has grown into a group of enthusiastic readers because of your phonics program! My 3 year old is starting kindergarten with my 5 year old and the 7 year old and 8 year old are motivating each other in their studies. Thanks for your beautiful easy to use "real-Life" Catholic curriculum!”

“Dear CHC friends, Your books arrived today and I am very relieved. I have 13 children (11 at home, school for 7, and 4 under 5), and have home-educated for over 17 years. When I began, there were no support groups,no on-line community, and the only texts we could easily find were Protestant. How I wish you were around then! Just reading your catalogue and website are inspiring to me. Thank you dear ladies.”

“Thanks so much to CHC! In such a short time my son, who I once thought may be dyslexic, is reading and really enjoying it! The ideas in the 3rd grade lesson plans were really the kick-off he needed. He is now not only reading, but "living" what he reads as he explains to me what the characters are going through. He can hardly wait to find out what happens next. This is an amazing difference from the attitude of reading being a chore as he once had. Thanks again CHC!”

“I have a child in 4th grade, 3rd grade and Kindergarten, as well as a two year old. I also have a baby due any day. I was so nervous to undertake homeschooling. I ordered the full curriculum for all three grades and it has gone great! I love the Catholicism in all the lessons. I want my children to have a good education but mostly I want them to be awesome Catholics. I think your curriculum is great! Thank you for the good work you do in helping to raise the next generation of saints!”

“I have been reading through the lesson plans every chance I get and they are just so incredible. I have to say in all sincerity that I have never seen anything like them before and I've seen all the Catholic providers' plans as well as many Protestant plans. I'm amazed at how well you've integrated the material, the unique ideas, the layout, the natural way the faith is brought in on a truly spiritual level and still the plans are simple enough not to weary people.”

“We were experiencing homeschool burnout last year and after praying over the summer switched to all of your materials for 1st, 3rd and 6th grade. It has been a joy and we are having a great school year. The lesson plans are so gentle and prayerful. I love how the materials work together and are so faith filled. Thank you for all your work to make God's work of homeschooling continue in this exciting time.”

“I went through the third grade lesson plans that I received yesterday. I almost starting crying with joy. I have homeschooled 14 years. When I open a package curriculum, I become depressed and have to 'weed it out' and put it aside until I can regain composure. I have placed the CHC lesson plans in a binder, and I did not weed anything out. I wish I had done this sooner. THANK YOU!!!

“I have used your lesson plans from the very beginning and I am ALWAYS amazed by what I receive in those packets. It is just chock full of amazing ideas and helpful hints and the resources are timely and well thought out. Your system has helped me to be able to continue to homeschool on bedrest pregnant with my 7th child! Anything that could do that is worth much more than you charge for the lesson plans! LOL! There are friends of mine who after looking at my lesson plans have decided to buy it as an addition to everything that they are using, just because they like what they see. There is something to bowl me over every year, and things to come back and enjoy throughout the year. Thank you for the thought and love of family that is so evident in your lesson plans...you have blessed my family and made homeschooling a reality!”

“I just want to thank you for all your school services. I've tried many curriculums and I find this to be the least time consuming in preparation. Everything is straight forward and my child can start right away. Thank you!

“I like the books, the subjects, the planners, the ease of working at this as a mom. Everything was there at my fingertips. Then came the support through Mom-to-Mom Connections. You have met my needs in almost every way. Keep doing what you are doing. It has been a gift from God to our family.”

“We have home educated our children since 1997. When we first began, we had no idea of all of the resources that were available for Catholic Homeschoolers. When we found CHC we felt that we had been sent such a tremendous blessing, in more ways than one! One of the wonderful resources that we greatly appreciated was the early grade lesson plans. We purchased grades K-5, and loved all of it, including the little "extras" that came with the lesson plans. They are very user-friendly, and are adaptable for each individual that uses them. These were a life saver to a new homeschooling mom, and an easy way to stay organized. We have now adopted 3 young children, and are starting all over again. We are working on purchasing all of the lesson plans again, and believe they will be as great a help now, as they were when we first began home education! God bless you all at CHC, and keep up the wonderful work!”

| “Thank you for being here for us homeschoolers. I have always used CHC until this year (5th). I signed up for [Catholic packaged curriculum] with their counseling and turning in work. I paid a lot for it and it lasted a couple weeks before I got really frustrated and quit and lost all the money. I think [the program] is okay if your kids is at the learning level they think your child should be at (and you can sit daily without distractions to get the work done on time), but otherwise it is too much pressure to try to make my child the same as other children and pressure on my family to be on time with everything. I realized that that is why I homeschool, to adapt our year to our needs.
Thank you so so so much for selling your curriculum without having to turn in work, etc. I can take your curriculum and adapt it to our needs without pressure. You also allow families that could not afford [the Catholic packaged program] to be able to have guidance and to be able to homeschool... If it wasn't for CHC I believe I would have given up on homeschooling. God will reward you for your kindness in selling the curricula without making people enroll their children and turn in work...”

“Your emphasis on spirituality and faith over and above the academics appeals to me. I have been using [pre-packaged curriculum provider] for eight years (an excellent academic program, and orthodox Catholic as well) and find myself very often concerned with completing the academics with very little emphasis on Faith, love, and the family life. This has to do with [provider's] bend towards challenging academics which are often difficult to complete without taking away from family life (a bit impractical for homeschooling) ... Your program has the "feel" of a real, faith-filled loving homeschooled family life - what I need very much.”
