This book is a collection of letters written by a young novice. In these letters to her parents, the joys, beauties, sacrifices, and purpose of the Carmelite vocation is revealed as well as day-to-day life. The first letter home describes Marie's entrance and `heart tugs' of homesickness. Each following letter tells what she has learned about Carmel.
"The pages of this book will give you an intimate view of the life of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns and a deep insight into their spirit. In this book you will be able to follow them very closely in their great role as 'Mothers of souls' . . . ."
Includes 27 illustrations sent home with her letters. 113 pages. 6"x8½"
