Preparing to Receive Jesus: A Hands-On Religion Resource

This course includes 150 pages of hands-on activities to help "bring to heart" the lessons your child is learning in the catechism as preparation for receiving the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion. These activities are not intended to replace your child's catechism lessons but to develop and enrich them. Church tour, prayer charts, crafts, handmade prayer books, and more. These lessons in obedience, charity, and honesty help your child to grow in virtue and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion for the first time. Topics include:

  • "Holy Manners" (4 weeks)
  • "Prayer: Handmade Prayer Book Project" (6 weeks)
  • "Holy Rosary Book: At the Feet of Mary" (5 weeks)
  • "Reconciliation" (6 weeks)
  • "Holy Mass: Handmade Mass Book Project" (9 weeks)
  • "Preparing Our Hearts to Receive Jesus" (6 weeks)
150 pgs. 8½"x11" Loose-leaf drilled, shrink-wrapped. Pages are not reproducible; each student will need his own student course.

“My son loves all of the stories and activities, and I love that he is being prepared deeply, but gently, for this most important moment of his life so far. Thank you so much -- we are having a great year with you! God bless you and keep up the good work you are doing for all of us homeschoolers and for the Lord.”
- Angela, CA
“I think we all benefited from the First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation. My older kids couldn't help hear and see what was going on and it was so exciting that we all talked about it a lot. The old stories and beautiful explanations made it an amazing year.”
- Diane, TX
