Science 2 for Little Folks
Nancy Nicholson

Science 2 for Little Folks (previously titled, Catholic Stories from Science) presents to the student a broad range of science concepts in a format friendly to young learners. Designed to encourage your child to think about the world we live in, and our Glorious Creator Who designed it all, the stories will develop in your child a sense of awe and appreciation for the wonders of God's creation, while at the same time opening the door to the world of science. By demonstrating God's active and foundational role throughout His creation, these stories guide the primary student to an understanding that there is no science apart from its Creator.

Worktext features 36 delightfully engaging stories about selected topics from Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Health, Weather, Botany, and Astronomy. From "How to Dress a Duck " to "Traveling Seeds, " your child will learn to better observe and understand the world around him. Each story is approximately 2 pages in length, followed by an experiment idea and questions to answer.

Second edition. Formatted as a worktext; no need for a separate notebook. Answers and Pronunciation Key included. An excellent science reader for all elementary grades. 115 pgs. Softcover. 8½"x11"

Bigger Stories for Little Folks
“Our family has delighted in all the Catholic Heritage stories written by Nancy Nicholson, and Science 2 for Little Folks has been no exception! The stories were quick and easy to read aloud, chocked full of good introductory science concepts... One of our most enjoyable stories and experiments was in the chapter of How to Dress a Duck. My children were fascinated with the way oil on a paper lunch bag repelled water.”
- Jamie, RI
“Let me thank you and others who have developed the CHC materials. This is my 10th year homeschooling, and I'm sure my other children didn't learn as much as my 2nd grader this year is learning. It's a pace that is just right for us, and the Catholic perspective on everything is truly beautiful. This has been our best year ever, even with four children at different levels. I appreciate you and CHC so much. ”
- Melanie, MO
