Question: I just purchased Bigger Stories for Little Folks. Are there supplemental questions anywhere? What grade level would you say this is? Thank you.
Answer:

AMDG+

Dear Parent;

Bigger Stories for Little Folks was written to follow in sequence the Little Stories for Little Folks.  A child who has completed LSLF is reading at second or third grade level [depending on the standards of the local school district or state].  Bigger Stories begins where Little Stories leaves off; the student who has just completed LSLF should slide with ease right into BSLF, which is appropriate for a second grader utilizing the CHC program.

However, if this is your student's first year of homeschooling, and he did not use LSLF, it is possible that BSLF might be slightly advanced.

There are no supplemental questions in BSLF, as the stories themselves tend to spark plenty of age-appropriate, voluntary discussion.  The Devotional Stories, which are a step ahead of BSLF, do have questions that accompany each story.

Happy reading, and may our good Jesus guide your school year,

Nancy Nicholson
