Question:

Hello, I'm writing more of a fan letter and less of a question. We are in the process now of switching over to more and more CHC materials, including the lesson plans, as our budget allows. We have really loved what we've used so far. Thank you!!!

I wanted to share something working for us ... our 15yo has struggled mightily in school with some learning disabilities etc. He has never gotten basic math and is far behind in grammar, etc. Recently, I had him take over teaching our younger kids their math (MathUSee) and grammar (Language of God). He is now learning these subjects so much better than the many many years and many piles of curriculum I attempted to use on him. It turns out he is an awesome teacher and retains everything so much better when he lingers over quizzing his siblings rather than zipping through on his own just trying to finish!

Thank you for "being there" for us in so many ways, CHC!

Answer:

Dear Mom,

Thank you for your lovely letter, and for sharing with us your teaching tip. Aren't you glad to be homeschooling?! What a gift for your son that his mommy/teacher is creative in pursuing ways to meet his unique needs and build on his abilities. Keep up the good work!

With warm regards and prayers for all your homeschooling endeavors,

Theresa Johnson
