Question: My entering 4th grade daughter has auditory processing problems, so I was wondering if you have any specialist that may adjust the curriculum or add to it if necessary.
Answer:

Dear Mom,

Based upon your question, it seems that you are wondering if the CHC lesson plans for fourth grade can be adjusted. Although CHC does not have a learning specialist on staff, the lesson plans are flexible. Each child is unique, and the lesson plans are structured so that parents may adjust or add to the lessons as each child requires. If you know the extent of the auditory processing problems, the flexibility of the CHC plans allows you the immediate convenience of changing lesson plans day by day if necessary without waiting for authorization. With these plans, the parent is completely in control of the curriculum.

If your daughter is presently working with a local auditory specialist, you may wish to review the lesson plans on a regular basis with the specialist for advice and recommendations for changes since auditory processing disorders cover a wide range.

God bless you,

Sandra Garant
