Language of God Grammar

CHC has teamed with three distinguished authors, Nancy Nicholson, Sandra Garant, and Christine Schintgen—a Catholic, college professor of English and granddaughter of children’s author Hilda van Stockum—to present these well-loved worktexts. This series is designed to provide the Catholic child with a solid introduction to English and grammar skills in the context of our Holy Faith. It is also designed with the teacher in mind; no teacher’s manual is required because all necessary information, including a removable answer key, is contained within the pages of the student worktext. What is recommended for first grade? Many schools do not include grammar as a separate subject in first grade since the child is still mastering reading. In CHC's curriculum, first-grade grammar is included in My Very First Catholic Speller (capital letters, periods, writing sentences, word study) and Little Stories for Little Folks (parts of speech: nouns, verbs, prepositions, articles).
