Dear Parent, Thank you for your question!
I am glad that you are considering homeschooling. I think you and your daughter will have an enjoyable experience. It's important to remember that your daughter will only be three years old when she starts pre-school. Usually most children start pre-school around four or five. When you decide if your child is mature enough to start formal schooling, look at the child's abilities as a whole, not just academically.
Another important thing to remember when you are schooling, is that you want her to enjoy learning. You are laying the foundation for the years to come. This is where you can foster an enjoyment for all the subjects, particularly reading, math and religion. So, when you are working with her, it's important that she be in a relaxed environment, with little pressure. It's also important to take her learning slowly, so she has a chance to absorb everything. You'll want to make sure that she has learned all the basic concepts before moving on. CHC's lesson plans incorporate many fun ideas and activities as the child grows, as well as great enrichment suggestions.
It's so easy in the younger grades to incorporate learning into every day activities, whether by counting the steps that she walks down, learning her colors by what she is wearing, or by spending reading time with mom on the couch. I'm sure that you do all these activities every day with her. You can gently teach her all the necessary content without even appearing like schoolwork.
God bless you and your family!
