Behold and See 2: More Science with Josh and Hanna |
Nancy Nicholson with Mary Piecynski |
As children begin to discover the astounding world that God created, they at the same time begin to uncover the mysteries of science. Rather than being at odds, these two discoveries issue from one and the same Source.
This Catholic science text presents to the child both Creation and Creator, in a context familiar to the child: the family. Activities that follow lessons reinforce and bring topics to life in little hands and minds. Through these lessons, children learn the scientific method of observing, comparing, grouping, and measuring change.
Behold and See 2 users need no additional workbooks, teacher’s manuals, or answer keys; all lessons, activities, and explanations are found within the worktext.
Chapters include: Simple Machines, Work, and Energy; God Provides Water for the World that He Created; Natural Resources: God's Gifts to Man; The Earth on Which We Live; and Marine Life: Living Things in the Oceans.
154 pgs. Full color. Spiral binding for ease of use. 8½"x11"

“Our second grade son is truly enjoying all of his CHC curriculum this year. It is truly a gentle, but full curriculum that takes the stress off this busy mom! He especially enjoys Behold and See 2 which is a beautiful addition to the Behold and See series. It is written in an easy-to-understand way with lots of rich pictures and activities. We especially enjoyed the soil experiment....anything that permits digging in the dirt is going to get my son's attention! He was amazed to "see" just exactly what he had read about earlier in the day about the layers of the soil as they settled. I could see his love of learning in the way he showed off his experiment to all of his brothers and sisters. I love all your materials for their ease of use and beauty, but I am especially grateful for your Behold and See series which makes my job so much easier!”

“My 2nd grader, Jonah, is loving Behold and See 2: More Science with Josh and Hannah. Just finished the rocks section of the book. We have food allergies to nuts, and coconut, though, so for other families with food allergies, I thought I'd share, we used flax seeds, and broken pretzels for the 'nuts' and Special K cereal (you could use corn flakes) for the leaves when making the sedimentary rock project.”
